Barkway Quiz Trophy

evening

Get your thinking caps on for the annual Quiz Trophy evening, held in Novermber. Teams of 8 compete for the coveted trophy - and be careful, if your team comes last you’ll win the (almost as coveted) wooden spoon prize! If you can’t find a team of 8, don’t worry - give us a call and we’ll see if we can match you up with some brainy folk.

The Barkway Pantomime

For 28 years a group of local folk have performed a pantomime at Barkway Village Hall - most recently Toad in a Hole, on 7 and 8 February 2020. The next show is due to be performed in February 2021. More information - including how to get involved - can be found on the Barkway Players website.

Barkway Village Market

Unfortunately the Barkway Market 2020 has had to be cancelled due to the public health emergency Please see the our statement on the front page of this website, and follow the Market on Facebook. The Market is held in the grounds of one of Barkway’s lovely old houses. With origins that can be traced back to 1270, the ancient market was re-established in 1977 and is now a Hertfordshire tradition in its own right. For enquiries please email bookings.barkwaymarket@gmail.com.
