Barkway Village Hall
A friendly village hall in rural North Hertfordshire
A former Women’s Institute opened in 1926, Barkway Village Hall has been sympathetically extended and modernised over the years.
The main hall includes a stage (which can be extended) with lighting and sound system, a bar area, a big screen and projector and comfortable seating. The hall is suitable for all events, business or pleasure.

The kitchen is well equipped and includes commercial cooking and dishwashing equipment. Off the main hall, the Committee Room is perfect for smaller meetings or as a “green room” for performances using the stage. It can be hired separately from the main hall. The recently re-designed garden provides additional outside space..
The Hall regularly hosts quizzes, film nights, private parties, sports events including exercise and dance classes, wedding receptions and the annual Barkway pantomime. The Hall has disabled access and a hearing loop and superfast wi-fi.
Barkway Village Hall is a registered charity, managed by a committee of volunteers and maintained through hire fees and fundraising.
